[PROMPT] Inclusive Design blog prompt

  1. Prompts: Consider the learning environment for your current design. What potential barriers can be reduced or eliminated to provide more pathways for learner success?

Considering our current special learning environment, I would like to discuss the learning of online class mode. Because this is what we are experiencing now. We will have more experiences and special experiences to provide

I think as a university student, and I am experiencing the epidemic, I have a very strong voice in this matter. To be honest, I didn’t agree with the form of online class for our summer section when the epidemic just started before school. But after the school started, I found that the online learning mode established by the school was far beyond my expectation.

First of all, I think our learning tool should provide special sections to remind students of class time and homework submission due date. Because now most of our learning mode is online teaching, which may reduce the initiative of students. Or students may miss class time because they are not familiar with the online class mode. (in the first week of school, I always forget what classes I have, and when it comes to time, I will be confused by all kinds of learning software every course use. Looking for a specific software that will miss class time).

Secondly, I think the school should establish a real-time communication software for teachers and students, such as the slack we are using now. (as far as I know, there is no such kind of communication software in other courses) with the help of real-time communication software, students can communicate with teachers in a timely manner, and any questions can be answered in a timely manner. All the communication process will also be recorded for the convenience of students to check repeatedly.

In the end, I hope that there will be some new and unified learning aids to help

students sort out and memorize their notes. Because the knowledge learned in university is fast and has certain content, it is difficult for students to organize a large number of professional knowledge points in a short period of time, quickly understand and use. Students need more help from teachers. These can help students memorize and organize knowledge points by recording lecture videos, PPT, and even teachers’ comments.
